Cory joined the ProActive team in July of 2017 as an associate advisor and paraplanner and became the firm’s financial planner and advisor in August of 2018. In 2021 Cory became part owner of the firm and Senior Vice President, and later in 2022 became President & CEO. He is a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance. Cory began his career in the financial services industry out of college by working for Advisors Excel and AE Wealth Management here in Topeka for over 6 years. Cory received his Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation from The American College of Financial Services in 2017. Cory serves on the finance committee for the United Way of Greater Topeka and for Grantville United Methodist Church. Cory also serves on the investment committee for the USD 501 Topeka Public Schools Foundation. Cory and his wife Lainie have a daughter, Macy, and a son, Tate. When not busy with work you can find Cory enjoying his time with family, being outdoors, attending sporting events and spending time on the golf course.

Jim’s goal is to preserve his clients’ capital and make it grow. He strives to help Proactive Capital Management's clients use their financial resources to live life to the fullest measure, without undue risk. He has over 20 years of experience pro-actively managing assets for clients and non-profit organizations. A Certified Financial Planner™, Jim is a graduate of Kansas State University and Washburn University School of Law. He holds licenses in law and securities and was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1973. Prior to PCM, Jim was a Senior Advsior and portfolio manager and President of Peoples Wealth Management, LLC based out of Topeka for 11 years. Outside of PCM, Jim serves on several community boards and investment committees. Jim’s hobbies include collecting baseball autographs and memorabilia. He enjoys family outings, reading, movies, theatre and baseball games.

A native of Osage City, KS, Kevin joined the Navy shortly out of high school and served four years, doing two tours in SE Asia on the USS Ranger during the Vietnam conflict. Returning to Kansas, he went to work in the property & casualty insurance business as an agent while also pursuing studies at Washburn University. In 1979, just as the entire financial services industry was awakening to the benefits of financial planning, Kevin joined a nationwide investment firm. Three years later, he became a partner in an independent registered investment advisory firm which, ultimately, became Tucker Financial Services in Topeka. He received the Certified Financial Planner certification from the College for Financial Planning in Denver in 1985. He sold Tucker Financial Planning in 2018 and has enjoyed the role of senior consultant to the new owner.
Kevin has served on the board of Cornerstone of Topeka, Inc., and several leadership positions with his church. He currently serves as the chair of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church Endowment. Kevin is married to Gwen, and together they have five children and four grandchildren. Kevin and Gwen enjoy traveling, gardening, and time spent with family.

Olivia Larkin joined ProActive Capital Management as their Relationship Manager in July of 2020 with a decade of prior customer service experience. She graduated from Emporia State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a minor in creative writing. Olivia strives to build and maintain strong relationships and believes in the importance of shared experiences and really getting to know clients. Olivia enjoys reading, going to the movies, supporting local businesses, hiking with her two dogs and husband, and going to as many live music concerts as she can.
